Does France have Arctic ambitions, or is the EU preparing for a more assertive foreign policy? Concerns have been rising since France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot suggested that France may be ready to send troops to Greenland, potentially in defiance of U.S. President Donald Trump.
